In February 2016, Chatterjee was appointed as Tata Steel’s Executive Director for Europe in addition to his current responsibilities and was re-designated as Group Executive Director (Finance, Corporate & Europe). Chatterjee has been re-appointed as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer with effect from November 9, 2017.

In the last 14 years, he has enabled Tata Steel to ride out of unprecedented challenges following the global financial crisis and led the Company to raise over US$60 billion of gross capital funding. He provided leadership and hands on experience in developing M&A strategy, transaction planning, structuring and execution planning for acquisitions with transactions value aggregating to more than US $15 billion in India, Europe, Canada, Africa, Thailand, Singapore and Australia. He also steered the Company in developing a structured divestment strategy with multiple portfolio exits aggregating to over US $3 billion.

Koushik Chatterjee is an Honours Graduate in Commerce from Calcutta University and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Chatterjee joined Tata Steel in 1995 and was appointed Vice President (Finance) in 2004. During his tenure, Chatterjee led the first overseas acquisition of a steel manufacturer by the Company – NatSteel Asia and subsequently led the acquisition of 1.7 MnTPA Millennium Steel (now Tata Steel Thailand) in Thailand. In 2006-07, he played a critical role in the acquisition of Corus Group Plc.

Prasad Gadkari heads the Strategic Investments and Policy Advisory Group at National Investment & Infrastructure Fund (NIIF). He has about 20 years’ infrastructure investing experience across private equity, principal investments, joint ventures, project finance, corporate & policy advisory. His most recent assignment before NIIF was as Managing Director at TVS Capital.
Earlier, Prasad used to be a Partner with IDFC Private Equity with a focus on core infrastructure (roads, airports, water, power transmission, ports & railways) and social sectors (education & healthcare). At IDFC PE, he handled the entire life cycle of the infrastructure private equity business ranging from fund raise to investing, portfolio management, Board directorships and profitable exits. Some of his notable deals were India’s first infrastructure asset holdco, first corporatized student housing business, largest private airport in the country, a water solutions company and South Asia’s largest chain of oncology hospitals.
In a previous role, Prasad was with General Electric (GE), where he handled the company’s infrastructure investing activities in South Asia, Middle East & N. Africa. Key assignments handled by him at GE were creation of joint ventures for metro railway projects, airports and a domestic infrastructure fund.
Prior to GE, Prasad was with IDFC Ltd where he led project financing deals such as Hyderabad Airport, Vizag Container Port, Annuity & Toll Roads and handled advisory assignments for Government entities such as NHAI, JNPT and Railways.

Mohit Batra is the Executive Director on the Board of ICICI Venture, which is ICICI group’s alternative assets company, where he leads the Infrastructure practice. He has in the past worked on several infrastructure policy initiatives undertaken by the Government in the areas of power, airports, telecom and roads.

Parameswara Krishnan has about 28 years of experience in financial markets, much of it on the Buy side in public markets, in India and Asian regional markets. Krishnan was the portfolio manager for the first bank sponsored mutual fund scheme in India from SBIMF in 1990-92. He was also the fund manager of the first private sector MF in India – Kothari Pioneer MF. He managed the Kothari Pioneer Bluechip Fund in 1993-94.

Krishnan had a long career with DNB Asset Management group, one of the top five asset managers in the Nordic region. During the 19 year stint with DNB, he managed Carlson Asian Small Cap Fund and the India fund from the DNB range. The Asian Small Cap fund, with a concentrated focus on China and India, was the most successful public market fund from DNB with peak AUM of USD 1.3 billion. Krishnan helped establish DNB as the most credible India investment expert in Sweden and Norway between 1998 and 2017. He has extensive experience in Taiwan and ASEAN markets and as an asset allocator for small caps in Asian markets.
